The Dot Page

Since commencing work on these pages, I have used a variety of packages. At the outset I used Macromedia's Dreamweaver, but all too soon the 30-day trial ended. I then used W3C's Amaya package, but found it was a little too technical for me, although it is great to set out basic pages without fscking it up completely. Now I'm using Notetab to do my HTML coding and Dave Ragget's HTML Tidy to clean it up. I've learned more about HTML in this process and have now successfully made these pages CSS compliant.
The current re-write of these pages occurs because I realised that the site had become bloated and quite ugly. The javascript on the title page was just too large, and the animgifs, especially the 'back' one were just too ugly. I have also been removing gifs due to the ongoing legal battles involveing the gif format, and rather than offend those without png-compatible browsers, I have just removed the gifs where appropriate.

I commenced work on these pages on 30th November 2000.

I last worked on these pages on 22 May 2001.

Daniel.
